Healthcare Administration Certificate

The three-course (nine-credit) graduate Healthcare Administration Certificate program offered by the School of Public Affairs and Administration (SPAA) at Rutgers University–Newark provides pre-career and in-career students with graduate studies in healthcare management and administration. Focusing on real-time and place-based case studies with experienced lecturers, students receive cutting-edge best practices information, helping them to position themselves to expand their professional careers in this area.

Students seeking the Healthcare Administration Certificate complete three (3) courses for a total of nine (9) credits from the following SPAA graduate courses:

  • Health Systems and Policy (3)
  • Healthcare Finance (3)
  • Healthcare Management (3)
  • Special Topics in Healthcare (3)

After receiving the certificate, non-degree students can count certificate courses toward the completion of the MPA program.
