Miyeon Song, PhD

Dr. Miyeon Song is an assistant professor in the School of Public Affairs and Administration (SPAA) at Rutgers University–Newark. She is also affiliated with the National Bureau of Economic Research. She is broadly interested in topics in public management, performance, bureaucracy, and policy. Her research focuses primarily on public management and policy implementation with a particular emphasis on issues of quality and equity in public service. She was awarded the Public Management Research Association’s Best Dissertation Award and the American Political Science Association’s Herbert Kaufman Best Paper Award. Her work has been published in a number of journals, including the Journal of Public Administration Research and Theory, Public Administration Review, American Review of Public Administration, and American Journal of Political Science among others.
